I’ve been published in The Laurel Review, Bellingham Review, VoiceCatcher Journal, and Typishly, among others. I received an Honorable Mention in the 2019 Passager Journal Poetry Contest, and was selected as one of the “Sixty Four Best Poets of 2018” by Black Mountain Press and The Halcyone Magazine. I’m a member/participant of the following—

  • Academy of American Poets
  • Ongoing writing workshops
  • Open Mic Readings at Olympia Poetry Network, Cascade Poetry Group, Puget Sound Poetry Connection
  • Port Townsend Writers’ Conference (poetry), Northwest Writer’s Retreat (poetry), Association of Writers and Writing Programs Conferences, Puget Sound Guitar Workshop (songwriting)
  • Social media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

I hold MFAs in Creative Writing and Fine Arts, which have played out as working in the Napa Valley wine industry for 20 years, as well as gallery representation. Many of my poems explore ways of finding what female agency and power look like in mythology and history, as well as meditations on how to love what perishes, and how our lives resemble and differ from animals, insects, and other cousins. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my musician partner, a rather large Maine Coon cat, and nine miles of books.
