WHAT I DO
Web / Design: during my years as a designer, I created the usual complement of websites, advertising, brochures, logos, newsletters, posters, wine labels. I now concentrate on writing poetry, essays, and painting in oils.

ON WRITING :: I just finished a book of poetry, Heavy as Ripe Pears, which is out to publishers, and am at work on a several chapbooks. Also, I was selected for the Sixty Four Best Poets of 2018 by Black Mountain Press and The Halcyone Magazine.
My college studies centered on Fine Art and Creative Writing, and I have spent my professional life as a fine artist, web/graphic designer, and new media writer. I am a participant in Port Townsend Writers’ Conferences, Association of Writers and Writing Programs Conferences, Gateless Writing Retreats, Northwest Writers’ Weekends, and Olympia Poetry Network. I also have a food blog at BlackberrySeason.com.
ON PAINTING :: Art and writing have served as bedrock for both my personal expression and work life. I’m currently exploring painting abstracted landscapes in oils, after about a decade working with realism.
ON DESIGN :: My approach to design is simple: make it beautiful, with the spark to ignite business. I focused on balancing inventive thinking with interesting design, and have represented clients in California’s Napa Valley, Hawaii’s visitor industry, healthcare, the arts, and national premium food businesses.
